I wish I could read this, but I'm still too raw. I've lost five kids to alienation, and your title shook me. I relate, and offer solidarity, as best as I can.
I read that and stopped. I don't have words that fit a number like that. Showing up here, even just to say you couldn't read it, takes something. The title alone sent you somewhere. I get it.
I have a hard time reading this as it brings up memories. This is exactly how it happened and how terrible it sounds is how terrible it was. I love all of our kids, even the alienated ones that i have not spoken to in a long time and I grieve for their loss of life. Not life itself but they have been robbed, by a bitter, insecure and angry woman, of key aspects of their life. That comment saying that he has his whole family that loves him was meant to make him feel better and possibly mentally replace his father but thats the farthest from the truth. I bet he sits every day with a hole in his heart, but not “awake” enough to realize his captor is his mother. It’s so sad. Sad for everyone involved. One woman’s insecurity……now has sent two damaged young men into the world…to continue this cycle. Its unfortunate.
I'm so sorry you're going through parental alienation. It's pure evil and a hell I wouldn't wish on my worst enemy. I have been going through it for 12 years now 😢. The grief is unreal. I write open letters and poetry to my now estranged teenage daughters at deartwodaughters.substack.com if you want to check it out. Much love to you ❤️

Five kids.

Solidarity received. And returned.

Thank you for saying this publicly. You were there. You saw it from your vantage point in a way I couldn't always see from where I was standing.
The fact that you still love all of them, including the ones you haven't spoken to in a long time, is so key.
This was hard to write. I'm glad you read it anyway.

I read that and sat with it for a moment.
Thank you for leaving this. It means something to hear from someone who actually knows the weight of it, not the version people imagine.
I've been reading at deartwodaughters. "the clutch of heartstrings not yet broken." That line stopped me. That's exactly where I live too.
Grateful you found this.
